My Home Gym - Stage 1: The Beginning

For the first 8 months of my transformation program, my equipment was very basic. I started with a stationary bike, a stair climber and a cheap bench with plastic weights & leg attachments. Also, soon after I started working out, I bought a nice set of hex dumbbells because my bench setup was lacking. The dumbbells were an excellent decision because I didn't want to spend a lot of money until I better understood what kind of equipment would be best for my training, and also because I knew the dumbbells would always be useful. All my workout equipment was shoved into a barely-used "junk" room.
This is the "before" shot. This is what my workout area looked like from January 2003 until September 2, 2003...
